Lockwoods Café bar and Restaurant aims to celebrate the best of Ripon's rich Cathedral City history, and the outstanding natural beauty of the surrounding area, whilst challenging it into the future. This theme of traditional and contemporary side by side is reflected in our decor, our Modern British and European menu, our extensive wine list, and the art on our walls.

Lockwoods is open all day (Tuesday to Saturday) serving freshly roasted coffee, breakfast, snacks, tasty sandwiches, gifts, lunch, a great selection of wines, spirits, cocktails and beers, and an exciting evening menu. We are also open for Sunday lunch on the last Sunday of every month and Bank Holiday Sundays.

We are a family friendly venue that promises to cater for everybody, offering high quality delicious food, at affordable prices, throughout the day and evening. We use the freshest ingredients from local producers and suppliers. By day we are an informal Cafébar, and at night an intimate restaurant, but still relaxed enough that you can just come in and enjoy a glass of wine. Each month we hold special events around the themes of great food, wine and music. We have been highly recommended in local and National Press, including being awarded “No.1 Family Run Restaurant in the UK” by the Times.
