The Great North Art Show
The Great North Art Show

The Great North Art Show is an exhibition of contemporary paintings held annually during the month of September at Ripon Cathedral.
The aim of the exhibition is to promote the work of invited professional artists from Yorkshire and the North and to make fine art readily available to residents of Yorkshire and all visitors to the county All works of art displayed are for sale. Proceeds go to the 'Ripon Cathedral Development Campaign' (Reg. Charity No.1086760) to which The Great North Art Show is affiliated.
The organisers work on a 'not-for-profit' basis. Last year's exhibition contributed over £10,000 to the Cathedral's Music Foundation helping to preserve the choral and music tradition of this fine Cathedral.
The 2007 exhibition runs for three weeks: Sat 25th August to Sat 15th September at Ripon Cathedral. See Website
