North-West Morris is essentially an urban, processional dance and aspects of its origins are still visible in the clogs and cotton slings. The kit is more flamboyant with much brighter colours and more adornments such as flowers, beads and sashes.
Ripon Choral Society
Ripon Choral Society, under its conductor John Dunford, performs three or four concerts each year in the magnificent setting of Ripon Cathedral. With over 200 singing members, the society is one of the largest in Yorkshire.See website and Ripon Choral Society Programme
Ripon & District Amateur Radio Society Website
The club meets every Thursday evening at 7.00 pm in the bunker situated beneath the rear garden of the Town Hall. Tuition and testing for the Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced licences is available as well as testing for the US FCC examinations. The club welcomes visitors on any Thursday evening and actively encourages new members.

The object of the Centre is to research the local history, family history and archaeology of Ripon and its surrounding area; to publish the results of such research and to make it available through publications, exhibitions, seminars, conferences and on the internet.
